Holiday Taxis makes three key appointments
Holiday Taxis has appointed its first sales and marketing director and made two other senior appointments.
Russell Parr joins as sales and marketing director from the Vertical Group, where he was most recently sales director.
Before this he held positions throughout the travel industry including sales manager at Comtec, and commercial management roles within AT&T Istel and X-Tant. He reports to chief executive Paul Stanyer.
Kathryn Lyon also joins the Holiday Taxis board. Previously the company’s overseas manager, she has been promoted to overseas director. Supporting her is Nathalie Greeno, recently recruited as contracts executive.
Wendy Mitchell joins the company from Virgin Holidays to take the newly created role of operations manager.
In her new role, Mitchell will oversee the contact centre, administration functions and customer services.
Stanyer said: “Alongside the expansion of the senior team there have been some other important changes made, including strengthening the contact centre team which has seen staff numbers increase by a third in the last few months.”
The appointments come after Holiday Taxis’ managing director Neil Herbert left the company due to personal reasons, which result in the need for him to relocate to the Cambridge area. Herbert joined the business in December 2006.
Stanyer added: “Neil’s input into the company has been key in driving the continuing growth of Holiday Taxis, which is currently enjoying its best year since it was launched five years ago.”
