Hong Kong Airlines announces new route to San Francisco
Hong Kong Airlines will launch a new non-stop service to San Francisco next spring.
San Francisco will become HK Airlines’ second West Coast destination after the soon to launch Los Angeles route and third in all in North America.
Flights to San Francisco from Hong Kong begin on 25 March 2018 on the carrier’s all new three-class Airbus A350 aircraft.
"Our transition from a regional airline to a global carrier continues to gain traction, as San Francisco becomes our third destination in North America," said HK Airlines’ chief commercial officer Li Dian Chun.
The airline launched its first transpacific route earlier this year to Vancouver
The 13-hour flight will operate four times a week and competes with United Airlines, Singapore Air and Cathay Pacific.
Hong Kong Airlines will also launch flights to New York later in 2018.
