Hong Kong Airlines taps Jacky Chan to promote new Vancouver route
Hong Kong Airlines has secured the services of martial arts maestro Jacky Chan to promote its service to Vancouver.
The veteran of more than 150 Asian and Hollywood movies will be on the inaugural flight to Vancouver on June 30 and will spend time in the city touting the service to the local market.
"With nearly 400,000 Canadians travelling to Hong Kong each year, we are thrilled to be able to offer direct access to the world-class city that is Hong Kong," said George Liu, the airline’s chief marketing officer.
Flights will be operated by A330-200 Airbus and in-flight service will be in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, the airline said.
Chan will be celebrity ambassador for the airline and will be attending Canada day celebrations in the city the following day.
