Hotel fee transparency? A new trend
It’s safe to say most hotels still don’t quote rates without taxes and fees but Bucuti & Tara Beach Resorts in Aruba may be going against the trend and structures all its rates to include all taxes, fees and even local telephone calls.
"In addition, their 2012 rates include free WiFi across the whole property, use of a Netbook with Skype in each room and full American breakfast buffet daily," says a spokesperson.
Too often hotel operators hear from guests that they were surprised by fees when checking out, and in response when guests check out at Bucuti there are no surprises, the hotel says.
"The resort charges the same inclusive rate they quoted at the time the reservation was made, and has carefully structured their rates over the past 25 years to avoid dramatic increases," the site says.
