Hotel guests biggest desire: find the bathroom in the dark

Monday, 07 Jul, 2010 0

Hotel guests primarily want free toiletries, clean robes and the ability to find the bathroom in the dark, according to a new Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts survey.

The survey measured what people miss and enjoy the most about being away from home.

When Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts asked what people most enjoyed about going away, a majority of 59 percent said it was simply enjoying a break in their routine.

Proving that most hotel guests want the simpler pleasures, the next three most popular answer were freshly-laundered robes and new slippers, the satisfaction of coming back to a magically-made bed, and sampling the free toiletries.

When asked what people most miss about home when away, the answers were similarly down-to earth, with being apart from loved ones coming on top with almost one-third of the votes.

Having their own things to hand and sleeping in their own bed came in second and third respectively, followed by the underrated but vital ability of being able to find the bathroom in the dark.
