Hyatt, American Airlines strengthen loyalty partnership
Hyatt Hotels and American Airlines have deepened their loyalty partnership offering additional ways to earn points and miles.
The airline’s elite members with AAdvantage Gold, Platinum, Platinum Pro and Executive Platinum status will earn one AAdvantage bonus mile for every dollar spent at qualifying Hyatt locations.
American’s invitation-only ConciergeKey members will receive World of Hyatt Globalist status.
World of Hyatt members at Discoverist, Explorist and Globalist level get World of Hyatt bonus points on American flights.
"We are thrilled to further expand our relationship to offer our elite members more exclusive and meaningful experiences throughout their travel journey," said Amy Weinberg, World of Hyatt SVP.
Members of AAdvantage Platinum and above, and Explorist and Globalist World of Hyatt members have the opportunity to complete limited time status challenges.
They will then immediately enjoy the benefits of the reciprocal program which includes a dedicated check-in area, late check-out, room upgrades and free premium internet at hotels, and priority boarding, free checked bags, free preferred seats.
"Through listening to member feedback, we learned that an ideal airline and hotel relationship would make the travel experience more seamless by providing dual earning and status options. We are excited to introduce an offering that delivers just that," Weinberg added.
