Iberia kicks off new Orlando nonstop flights
Spain flag carrier Iberia has inaugurated its new direct route between Madrid and Orlando.
The new connection will operate four times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—and offer more than 46,000 seats during the winter season.
This is the only service offering nonstop flights between Spain and Olando.
Onboard, the first flight’s passengers received an entertainment kit designed especially for the youngest passengers.
Orlando is globally renowned as the theme park capital
Beyond leisure, Orlando is positioning itself as a strategic destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism.
“The launch of our direct route to Orlando marks another step in Iberia’s growth strategy in the United States, a key market for us,” said Beatriz Guillén, Customers Director at Iberia.
Iberia is deploying Airbus A330 aircraft on the nonstop route with capacity for 254 passengers across Business, Premium Economy, and Economy classes:
“We’re excited to welcome Iberia and celebrate nonstop service between Orlando and Madrid,” said Lance Lyttle, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority.
“Passenger demand between our two cities has reached record levels, and this new connection offers a world-class link between two vibrant destinations for both leisure and business travel.”
