Icelandair launches Tel Aviv flights
Flag carrier Icelandair has just launched Tel Aviv flights.
The new seasonal service will operate three times a week: Wednesday, Friday and Sunday until 29 October 2023.
The estimated flight time from Iceland is around seven hours.
Tel Aviv is a new destination for the carrier with the route serving high demand from Israel to the US.
Bogi Nils Bogason, CEO of Icelandair said: “Tel Aviv flights fit well into our route network. In recent years, tourists from the region have shown great interest in visiting Iceland.”
“Furthermore, there is significant demand for flights to North America.”
It is one of more than a dozen new flight routes to and from Israel this summer.
The country is targeting a new record of more than 25 million tourist visits this year.
