If Only… offers agents chance to win a trip to Malaysian Grand Prix
The winning team consisting of If Only…, Tourism Malaysia and Emirates Airlines are revving up to launch a new and innovative Malaysian incentive which is open to all UK agents and will burst into action on May 1.
The ‘If Only… Malaysian Challenge’ will give travel agents the opportunity to win a trip to next year’s Malaysian Grand Prix, classed as one of the most exciting Formula 1 racing events of the year, corporate hospitality tickets for a Manchester United Premiership game at Old Trafford and educational trips to Malaysia.
The independent, luxury tour operator, If Only… launched its debut South East Asia Experience brochure earlier this year. The joint promotion with Emirates Airlines and Tourism Malaysia is to help drive awareness of If Only…’s extensive Malaysian portfolio of holidays, the destination itself and the quality of Emirates flights available to Malaysia. The two-phase promotion will run until October 31, 2008. The first stage gets underway on May 1 and finishes on July 31, 2008.
Agents need to call If Only… for a holiday quote to Malaysia during this period and they will receive a free orang-utan together with a lucky number. A draw will be made at the end of July and the winning agent will receive a educational place to Malaysia, scheduled for 2009.
The race will start to heat up, as stage two commences on August 1. Agents will receive a Malaysian Grand Prix themed race track board. The aim is to complete one lap, which consists of 20 stages. The agent progresses with these stages based on the number of Malaysian bookings made through If Only…, by answering destination-based questions and participating in Tourism Malaysia’s online training programme.
Various bonuses will operate to help agents accelerate round the track. Once the race is finished, agents return the completed circuits to If Only… by October 31.
Agents will then be entered into the prize draw to win one of the following: a trip to the magnificent Malaysian Grand Prix (for two), corporate hospitality for two at a Manchester United game and an educational place to Malaysia. Full instructions will be distributed with the Malaysian Grand Prix circuit board. Regular special offers for holidays to Malaysia will also be distributed throughout the Malaysian promotion.
Brendan Maguire, If Only…’s managing director said: “We’re really looking forward to getting travel agents onboard with this exciting Malaysian promotion, together with the award-winning Emirates Airlines and Tourism Malaysia. It should be a fun incentive that also allows agents to learn more about this rising star of a destination in South East Asia and offering them some highly sought after prizes.
“Agents booking holidays to Malaysia through us will have a selection of 15 mesmerising resorts throughout this beautiful country. Whether customers are looking for white sandy beaches, tropical island resorts, world-class diving, golf, observing orang-utans in their natural habitat or the bustling and vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia has something to offer every discerning traveller.â€
If Only…’s brochure prices start from £945pp for a seven-night stay in a 4* hotel on a bed and breakfast basis with return flights from London.
