Imaginative Traveller unveils fresh new look

Friday, 18 Jul, 2008 0

Specialist small group adventure company Imaginative Traveller has unveil its exciting new look with the re-launch of www.imaginative-traveller.com.au.

The interactive new website is the first phase of an extensive re-branding exercise, which also includes a new look logo and brochures, to increase the company’s appeal to the broader 25-45 year old market.

Imaginative Traveller has a strong relationship with agencies and the new website contains additional sections, accessed through an agent log-in, to further improve the booking process and to provide agents with up-to-date information, which they can pass onto their clients.

The stylish new website is designed to inspire clients and improve their booking experience through a series of interactive tools, an easy to use navigation system which enables them to search by destination or tour and an upgraded bookings facility.

Clients’ search history is automatically stored and they can create their own personal space and profile within the site where they can draw up a “wish list”.

The site encourages clients to engage with other like-minded travellers through online forums, allowing them to exchange travel tips and discuss their holiday plans.

Client enquiries can be answered in an instant via the live chat tool, which enables them to communicate directly with the Imaginative Traveller team in Sydney.

The introduction of a blog, which is regularly updated by Tour Leaders and Destination Managers, provides users with a real sense of what is going on in each destination, while destination videos and images bring the Imaginative Traveller experience to life.

Clients can also upload their own videos and images for all to see. Past client reviews, top five tours and alternative tour recommendations have also been introduced to aid users in their choice. Website users can also subscribe to Imaginative Traveller’s free online newsletter ‘ETracks’ which delivers inspirational tour suggestions directly to their inbox.

Matt West, Managing Director of Imaginative Traveller for the last action packed year explains the reasoning behind the re-branding, “The name says everything about the company and the customers, but it is not well known outside of experienced travellers.”

“We wanted to unlock the door to the best holiday experiences you have never heard of and open it to a much, much wider audience so we came up with an engaging and contemporary new look that would appeal to this bigger audience.”

“The people working at Imaginative Traveller are the most modest people I had ever met, they had a brilliant product but seemed too shy to share it!”

Since its launch over 17 years ago, Imaginative Traveller has built up an impressive portfolio of unique world wide tours and volunteer programmes which are designed to truly get under the skin of a destination, enabling clients to experience each new place through the eyes of a local. Boasting a wide range of small group tours and treks throughout South & Central America, Africa, Europe, Middle East, Far East and Antarctica, Imaginative Traveller offers authentic and in the know experiences to individuals, groups, families and honeymooners in a variety of settings.
