IndiGo exploring codeshare partnership with Qantas
India’s largest airline by market share IndiGo has opened talks with Qantas Group for a codeshare partnership.
Talks are underway for a codeshare agreement to include Qantas and budget brand Jetstar Airways, an official said.
"With Qantas, it is likely to be one-way but with Jetstar, it is likely to be a two-way codeshare agreement," the official said.
IndiGo has been expanding its international footprint in recent years but does not fly direct to Australia.
In the past year IndiGo has opened new routes from India to Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar, China and Saudi Arabia.
IndiGo currently has a two-way codeshare agreement with Turkish Airlines and a one-way codeshare partnership with Qatar Airways.
