Industrial action threatens travel to rugby final
Rugby fans hoping to travel by Eurostar to Paris in advance of the World Cup Final between England and South Africa on Saturday face disruption due to industrial action.
The Channel Tunnel high speed passenger service has been forced to axe three services to Paris from London Waterloo on Thursday and one to Brussels due to the action by French public sector workers.
Eurostar is advising all travellers not to travel if at all possible on Thursday.
There will also be no services on the Paris urban transport network, including the Metro, throughout the day and very limited services on the French high speed TGV network.
Two trains from Paris to London have also been cancelled on Thursday.
The company will not run the 16.39 London to Brussels service on Friday and has also dropped an early morning Paris to London service and two Brussels to London trains.
