Industry divided over ‘importance’ of WTM

As World Travel Market opens this morning, the industry is divided over its importance.

According to TravelMole’s Mole Poll asking, ‘Is World Travel Market still an important event in the calendar?’, 50% voted yes and 50% voted no.

However, the industry trade show claims attendance is up 5% and there are 157 new exhibitors.

Tourist boards, hotel chains, technology companies and many more, will meet at WTM 2012 held at Excel from 5-8 November.

The event offers various break-out sessions including ‘Management of Customer Reviews – Why are hotels so bad at it? Does it really matter?’.

This session chaired by Steve Endacott, On Holiday Group and featuring Andrew Mabbutt, Feefo, John Bevan, Voyage Prive will be on Wednesday from 11am-12pm.
