Industry gears up for National Park Week
The US tourism industry is gearing up for National Park Week later this month.
Running from April 16- 24, the week gives visitors free admission to national parks across the US.
It starts with National Junior Ranger Day, when children can earn a junior ranger badge or become a Centennial Junior Ranger.
On the last day it’s Park Rx Day, with a range of activities to encourage healthy lifestyles and physical and mental wellbeing.
For example, visitors can take part in a poetry walk at Olympic National Park, hike on the 7.5 mile Buckeye Trail or join a junior ranger discovery walk at Joshua Tree National Park.
