Inghams extends its ski hosting service
Inghams is planning to re-introduce ski hosting in some Italian resorts this coming winter.
The service, which involves a tour operator rep guiding skiers around the slopes, is banned in France and, after it was challenged by ski schools in the Italian region of Piedmont, UK ski operators withdraw their ski hosting programmes in Italy too. It is also banned from some resorts in Austria.
However, Inghams will bring its popular ‘Meet the Pistes’ back in selected Italian resorts for this winter after seeing its continued success in other resorts where it is allowed in Austria, Switzerland and Canada.
The orientation service, which has been extended to three days a week in some resorts, is free to guests, but does not involve tuition or off-piste skiing.
