InteleTravel acquires ticketing platform Tickitto
InteleTravel announced it has acquired UK-based live events and experiences platform Tickitto.
Tickitto is a global platform offering tickets to Premier League football matches, Formula 1 races. Live music concerts and more.
The deal for the API platform will enable InteleTravel’s UK and Ireland travel advisors to offer their customers holidays with add-ons that include tickets to events often difficult to obtain or only available at massive mark up prices.
The purchase is InteleTravel’s fourth acquisition in two years following deals for corporate travel alliance Hickory Global Partners, meetings and industry agency MGME and long-haul tour operator Major Travel.
Through the API connection, standardised data and white-label ticket booking sites, Tickitto allows businesses to tap into more than £49 billion worth of tickets for a wide range of experiences including unique local activities.
Hickory and MGME will also be able to offer corporate clients VIP sports and show tickets.
As with previous acquisitions, Tickitto and its current team, including CEO and founder Dana Lattouf, will continue to operate as an independent brand under the InteleTravel umbrella.
InteleTravel CEO James Ferrara said: “Our analysis shows that 1 in 10 travel bookings are related to a live event, concert or sporting event and these tickets are part of thousands of additional pounds in spend.”
We believe that 2025 will continue to see a rise in ‘eventcations’ and be as much about the unique moments people are seeking as the destinations they want to visit.”
“With Tickitto now under the InteleTravel umbrella, we can take advantage of our packaging ability through our supply partners.”
