InteleTravel boosts supplier partners as bookings surge
Home-working firm InteleTravel has added eight new supplier partners so far this year, increasing the number with preferred status to 75.
Among new suppliers are JTA Holidays, with InteleTravel producing £1.5million worth of sales for the operator since their partnership began in mid-June.
JTA Holidays managing director Wayne Darrock said: “We are delighted to work with InteleTravel and look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.”
As bookings continue to surge, InteleTravel saw sales rise 13% in the year to July, compared to the same period last year.
Individual sales transactions were up 42% in the period, with the top 10 individual agent transactions totalling £293,738, an average of over £29,000 per sale.
Much of the growth has been fuelled by group bookings, InteleTravel says.
Group business has been a focus area, helping agents convert group sales and increase their commissions.
There has also been growth in the number of Ambassadors, who offer their skills to help mentor and coach new agents.
InteleTravel UK Director Tricia Handley-Hughes said: “There has been a real trend in group bookings, and why would you make a booking for one or two customers when you can book twenty with the same effort?”
“This is about channelling efforts to maximise rewards. Our dedicated Ambassadors are a real asset to InteleTravel, going out of their way to support fellow colleagues.”
InteleTravel recently announced it has grown its number of UK agents by 9% to over 11,500 since January.
