Island Cruises’ new ship DVD for agents

Saturday, 19 Sep, 2005 0

An educational DVD about Island Cruises’ second ship Island Star is being sent to 5,000 key travel agents.

The DVD is split into four main sections: ‘Relaxed, friendly & informal cruising’, ‘The Island Star’, ‘Itineraries’, and ‘Getting There’.

It includes background information about the cruise line, its two ships and general product overview. There is an animated walk through the new vessel, which is transferring from Celebrity Cruises, including restaurant opening times and menus through to where to find the gym or the perfect cocktail.

Marketing director Andy Furlong said: “With the new ship about to undergo refurbishment, before its launch to the UK market in March, we felt the need to provide agents with an insight as to what the four-star Island Star will look like and all the facilities onboard.

“The DVD will prove to be an invaluable tool for agents when selling the Island Star as it also contains detailed information of all the itineraries available, along with background information.”
