ITA Airways taps Accelya for NDC content
Italy based ITA Airways has inked a strategic partnership with Accelya to deliver New Distribution Capability airfare content
Using Accelya’s LHG NDC API technology, ITA Airways will be able to deliver dynamic customer offerings directly to travel sellers.
This partnership marks ITA Airways’ first NDC implementation in the retail sector and forma an important role in its overall digital transformation.
Accelya says it is the largest enabler of NDC transactions worldwide.
“Our digital transformation must be a tool to ensure the best possible experience for the customer,” said Emiliana Limosani, Chief Commercial, Network and Incentive Management Officer of ITA Airways.
The Accelya collaboration enables the airline to offer personalised content to travel agencies and tour operators, and serve customers more effectively, the airline said.
It also ‘aligns with Lufthansa Group’s digital distribution strategy, gaining greater control over our retail and distribution network,’ it added.
Lufthansa Group is owns 41% of ITA Airways.
Once live, the partnership will enable travel agencies, online travel agencies, tour operators, and travel management companies to access ITA Airways’ customised offerings, including ancillary services.
This ensures a more consistent brand experience across all channels and higher conversion rates.
