Japan braces itself for super typhoon
Japan is being hit by the first super typhoon of 2014 with winds of up to 150 miles per hour.
The Foreign Office advised visitors to monitor the progress of Typhoon Neoguri.
It said the storm was expected to bring hazardous sea and weather conditions to southern parts of Japan.
AccuWeather.com said residents and visitors in its path should already be taking the necessary preparations and heed all evacuation orders.
The storm, which is being predicted as one of the worst in decades, is expected to reach mainland Japan by Wednesday.
