Japan eyes high net worth private jet tourists
Japan plans to make it easier for affluent tourists and business travelers.
It will relax rules for private jet access at Japan airports.
It is easing the required notice to inform arrival of a private jet from 10 days before arrival to three.
It is currently three days for business and medical reasons but now will be expanded for leisure travel.
Japan hopes to boost the number of high net-worth foreign tourists.
Before the pandemic in 2019, Japan handled nearly 6,000 arrivals and departures of foreign private jets.
