Japan to end all Covid border control measures
Japan will end all pandemic border control measures next month.
It means proof of Covid vaccination or a test will no longer be required.
It is planned to take effect on May 8.
From that date Covid-19 will then be classified as a common disease,
Currently, all arrivals must present proof of three Covid-19 doses or a negative test taken within 72 hours of departure.
It is expected to help further revive Japan tourism, which has recovered quite well so far.
Japan has now eased protocols for Chinese travellers to give them the option of showing proof of full vaccination rather than a test.
