Jet-charged sales boost for Indian airline
India’s Jet Airways has reported a 188 percent increase in passenger ticketed bookings from Australia, compared with 2010, in sales figures for the first half of 2011.
Although the airline does not operate its own aircraft to Australia, it offers a daily codeshare service with Qantas, from Sydney to Singapore.
From there, Jet operates its own flights to the Indian international gateway cities of Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai.
Jet Airways flies to 76 destinations – 52 within India and 24 internationally- utilising a fleet of 100 aircraft, including wide-bodied Boeing 777-300ER, Airbus A330-200s, next-generation
Boeing 737s and ATR 72-500 regional turboprops.
Jet Airways is represented by World Aviation Systems in Australia.
