Jet2 has announced its biggest ever winter sun programme, placing almost 400,000 extra seats on sale for winter 2019/20.

In total, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have more than 3.2 million seats on sale for next winter, which is a 14% increase on this winter.

It said the growing popularity of Turkey and Cyrus as winter sun destinations, in addition to the continuing rise of Spanish destinations and Portugal, had fuelled the growth.

The operator has an extra 140,000 seats to Antalya alone, an increase of more than 40% over this winter. The airline will fly to the Turkish region all year-round from Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester and Stansted.

It has also expanded its programme to Cyprus, with almost 200,000 seats on sale to Paphos and Larnaca, representing 42% capacity growth.

Jet2 will also offer 25% more seats to Malta, 10% more to the Canary islands, 12% more to Malaga and Alicante, 12% more to the Algarve and 7% more to the Balearics.
