Jet2.com is summer’s most punctual UK airline
Jet2.com has been the most punctual UK airline of the summer so far, according to data by air travel intelligence firm OAG.
It said 85.8% of Jet2.com’s flights were on time in June and 85.7% were on time in July, when it outperformed any other UK airline by more than 4%.
Jet2.com said it had improved its on time performance this summer despite significantly expanding its flying programme and launching new bases at Stansted and Birmingham.
CEO Steve Heapy said: "Our teams work around the clock to ensure that customers depart on time, as we know that it provides the perfect start to a lovely holiday.
"Punctuality is one of the most important things to our customers, alongside our award-winning customer service and friendly flight times, so we are delighted to hear that we were the most punctual UK airline during June and July."
