JetBlue brings MLB action to the skies
JetBlue is reaching out to baseball fans, offering free in-flight access to MLB.TV’s baseball content and live streaming of MLB game in the air.
Through the MLB.com ‘At Bat’ mobile app passengers with laptops and supported smartphones and tablets can watch live streaming regular season baseball games at 35,000 feet courtesy of JetBlue’s Fly-Fi onboard Internet service.
"Launching MLB.TV is a home run for our customers who are getting more free entertainment than ever included in their JetBlue flights," said Jamie Perry, vice president brand and product development.
"Whether it’s sports, movies, television, music, news or e-books, we’re offering endless entertainment options across multiple screens."
MLB.TV is a subscription service but JetBlue flyers will receive free access with more than 2,500 live and archived games on demand per season.
MLB.TV becomes the first live sports service to sign up to Fly-Fi.
Other content available free of charge aboard Fly-Fi enabled flights include The Wall Street Journal, PBS, NatGeo, Harper Collins and Time, Inc.
