JetBlue offers free flights for Florida school shooting relatives
JetBlue is extending a helping hand to family members affected by the Parkland school shooting by offering free flights to South Florida.
JetBlue is offering free air travel on JetBlue for victims’ families traveling to focus city Fort Lauderdale, while JetBlue partner Lyft will provide free transportation when on the ground.
"We’re honored to be able to offer assistance to the Parkland community during this difficult time. JetBlue volunteers are available in the Family Assistance Center to book free air travel on JetBlue for victims’ families," the airline said in a website blog post.
"We want to do our part to help the community, and support South Florida through this difficult time."
Additionally JetBlue and marketing partner the Florida Panthers will jointly hold a blood drive at the BB&T Center in Sunrise later this week.
Nikolas Cruz, 17, is facing charges for 17 counts of murder after last week’s shooting spree at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.
