Joe McCormack joins FCm Travel Solutions
Corporate travel specialist FCm Travel Solutions has announced the appointment of Joe McCormack to the position of General Manager Global & Client Hotel Programmes.
Joe joined FCm Travel Solutions from the Saville Hotel Group where he worked for nine years, initially in a sales & marketing capacity at two of the Group’s Sydney properties, before transferring to head office as regional director of business development.
“Almost 65% of the Saville Hotel Group’s business was corporate and my responsibility was effectively to direct corporate activity through to the respective State sales-teams.”
“The role quickly taught me the benefits of building strong relationships with your travel partners. FCm Travel Solutions already enjoys some excellent relationships with key travel partners, but I will be looking at re-evaluating all of this to ensure that we absolutely have the best mix for our clients.”
“This carries from a local as well as global perspective, because what works in one country for one client, might not necessarily be the preferred solution in another country for a different client.”
With names like Sheraton, All Seasons (Accor), Radisson and the aforementioned Saville littering his resume, Joe has worked his way up through the hospitality industry and has a broad working knowledge of all operational facets of the industry.
“The business of corporate travel is one removed from this again, but the principles are the same as for the hospitality industry in that you need to combine professionalism and personality to be successful.”
“Building good solid relationships with clients, partners and suppliers are hugely important.
“Strong working relationships provide the cement for any successful business.”
