John Eales uses Wallaby’s experience and tactics in changing Aussie business
Sydney on Sale 2006, the highly successful Sydney MICE business event which ended yesterday, was the setting for John Eales, former Wallaby Captain and now management consultant and business advisor and his Mettle Group, hosting a corporate lunch and it was very interesting to see how he applied his highly successful Wallaby Captain techniques to the complex world of culture in business.
Themed “Winning at the Right Cost”, the lunch at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney was co hosted by Sydney Convention and Exhibition Bureau and the organisation’s CEO Jon Hutchison, pictured left with John Eales at the lunch.
Mettle clients include: SA Water, Ergon Energy, Hydro Tasmania, Australia Post, ING, Westpac, Barclays, NAB Commander and they have a key focus on high energy performance leadership, culture and performance, changing company cultures, team alignments, helping organisations and their people to effectively achieve their goals.
Mettle develop organisational and people solutions to support the implementation of, connecting strategy and culture, matching internal values to external brand, risk management, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions and sustainable growth.
Eales’s sporting record and influence shows through clearly with Mettle ethos, which includes: –
Putting belief in your teams;
Winning the silver, not losing the gold;
Standing up when your team needs you mots;
Making tough decisions look easy;
To use your strengths, not excuse your weaknesses;
The way you play the game, not the score;
Not being limited by your goals; and
Showing your courage when it counts.
