KLM rolling out free Wi-Fi
Netherland flag carrier KLM will offer free Wi-Fi connectivity on short haul flights across Europe.
The complimentary service will progressively roll out across its short haul fleet including all A321neo and Embraer 195-E2 aircraft and some of its Boeing 737-800 planes.
The free perk is available to customers who register as a Flying Blue loyalty member.
“We listen carefully to what our passengers value and free internet has been on their wish list for some time,” said KLM customer experience manager Stephanie Putzeist.
The unlimited Viasat service offers internet browsing and streaming capabilities.
Many major airlines now offer some form of free inflight Wi-Fi although often with restriction on bandwidth or a time period when it is free.
Like KLM, several US airlines offer free connectivity for customers who sign up as a loyalty member.
