Kuoni acquires large slice of Swiss operator
Kuoni is to buy a 60% share in Switzerland’s inclusive tour operation Direkt Reisen AG for an undisclosed sum.
The July 1 purchase strengthens Kuoni’s position in the Swiss direct sell market. Direkt Reisen turned over £25.8m last year, employing 25 people. It sells mainly beach holidays to the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia but also offers cruises, tours, rail travel and wellness holidays.
Kuoni will integrate the company, with no job losses, into the Kuoni Switzerland unit of its Strategic Business Division Smart.
