Kuta beach reopens for swimming
Bali’s Kuta beach is safe for swimming again, authorities in Bali said, after it was declared free from bacterial contamination.

Health officials said the pH level of the water has returned to normal, as has the color of the water, which was a turgid brown over the weekend.

“The quality of the water is now better. The latest test of the water’s pH level is now neutral. One of the most obvious signs is that the water is now blue again,†said the official.

Authorities had advised against swimming off Kuta Beach advising visitors of the risk of skin infections or respiratory problems as a result of coming into contact with bacteria.
