Lastminute to sell Disneyland Resort Paris
Tickets and hotels at Disneyland Resort Paris are to be sold by lastminute.com as part of a new deal between the two companies.
Seven themed Disney hotels can be booked through lastminute.com, together with unlimited entry to the theme parks.
The online retailer is also offering the ability to include flights or rail travel to the resort as part of a one-price package.
Disneyland Resort Paris welcomes more than 12 million visits a year, 70% of which come from lastminute.com’s four main markets – the UK, France, Spain and Italy.
Lastminute.com chief executive Brent Hoberman said the agreement “will enable us to offer our customers the flexibility of choice between hotel accommodations and park tickets, or a combined package including flights or rail travel on Eurostar to Paris.”
The Disney resort’s sales and distribution vice president Norbert Stiekema said: “It is directly in line with our distribution strategy to sell through internet channels and offer guests the flexibility to plan their holidays the way they want to.”
Meanwhile, lastminute.com has made a series of appointments across its Holiday Autos, holidayandmore and Globepost brands.
Sharon Kerr, former sales manager for a Tuscany-based hotel group and property developer, joins as sales development manager for the three brands across Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic.
Ex-Transun Travel regional sales manager Christina Purcell becomes sales development manager for the Midlands and South of England.
Former Bath Travel relief manager Rebekah England joins holidayandmore as field sales executive for the South of England and Victoria Culling, previously with Transun, takes a similar role covering the North of England.
