Lastminute UK boss quits
Mark Maddock, managing director UK and Ireland of lastminute.com, has left the company.
A statement from the online agent said he had decided that "now is the time to leave lastminute.com".
"We want to thank Mark for his contribution over the past years; and whilst it’s disappointing to lose a valued leader of the business, we will not be replacing Mark’s role – lastminute.com CEO Matthew Crummack is overseeing the overall business," it said.
The departure comes amid continued speculation that the company’s parent, Sabre Corporation, is looking to to sell lastminute.com.
A lastminute.com spokeswoman said it was currently in a quiet period and unable to comment or provide additional information on these reports.
Maddock joined lastminute.com in 2002 as hotel product director and took the helm of the UK and Ireland operation in 2010.
