Latest amenity: flying suitcases
Travelers now can hire a company to ship their suitcases to a designated hotel — already pre-packed with belongings.
Flylite, a new Reston, Va.-based company, is offering the service.
At the end of the trip, the traveler sorts clothing to be laundered, dry-cleaned or pressed and a courier picks it up from the hotel. Flylite both cleans and stores the contents of the suitcase until they are requested for the next trip.
The cost is $100 or $200 round-trip.
“Most of our clients are traveling to just one or two places,” said founder Steve Zilinek.
He has about three dozen customers so far, usually executive who fly up to 50 times a year.
Said Mr Zilinek:
“They’ve got money. What they need is time.”
