Latest hotel perks may make you want to bark
The latest in hotel pampering perks: dog massages and an “essence concierge” to provide a choice of seven scents to help guests relax.
The Ritz-Carlton in Sarasota introduced a “Privileged Pup” program including pet massages.
Such treatment is a therapeutic manipulation of the skin, muscle and soft tissue of the animal’s body, giving them comfort and health benefits, said Darlene Davison, the spa’s director.
The hotel’s “Paw Package” includes a dog massage of choice, a scenic walk over the John Ringling Bridge, a Bon Ton pet disposal kit and other amenities including a souvenir photo. The cost is $350.
Meanwhile, for human guests, the Escenia Resort on the Riviera Maya has an “essence concierge who offers fresh scents into guest rooms as part of the nightly turndown service.
The resort’s ten garden suites are all named after an aromatic scent of spice such as basil, mint and rosemary.
The name of the resort’s spa: Aroma Spa.
