It has been endorsed by the FC Barcelona star and the Leo Messi Experience will have 20 different attractions powered by virtual reality and augmented reality tech .
The Nanjing park will become the first football-themed park built specifically for a single football player.
"I do hope that I can offer visitors a unique experience that they have never felt before and inspire the little ones to start playing football early. I do hope that they will feel like I’m right there with them when they visit the park," Messi said during a recent promotional visit to China.
It is being developed by China’s Phoenix Group and Spain’s Mediapro Group
Mediapro also helped develop club museums for both FC Barcelona and Real Madrid and the Brazilian Confederation of Football Museum.
