LONDON’S BOROUGH MARKET SETTING FOR SECOND HELPING OF A TASTE OF ASIA PACIFIC
More than two hundred travel agents, tour operators and other industry professionals are expected at London’s Borough Market next month for the second Taste of PATA event.
The evening, which was launched by the UK chapter of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), is aimed at promoting the region by offering opportunities to share knowledge and network within a setting that showcases the diverse personalities of a vast region that remains vitally important to both the UK travel trade and British travellers.
Leading partners for the evening include Tourism Australia and Emirates, while national tourist offices from Thailand, Taiwan, India, Hong Kong and Macau, China, Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand, the Philippines and Cook Islands will all be represented.
“The huge success of the inaugural Taste of PATA last year demonstrated how vitally important the Asia Pacific region is to the UK travel trade,†says Ian Hawkes, executive director of the PATA UK Chapter.
“While the travel industry continues to face the challenges of economic uncertainty and consumer confidence, Asia Pacific is a region that remains incredibly buoyant and one clearly identified by travellers as offering unrivalled variety, exceptional quality and value for money. The Taste of PATA event is the perfect setting in which to celebrate that.â€
Borough Market will be transformed into a showcase for Asia Pacific and the evening will feature a whole range of events and activities, information, incentives and advice. Guests will also be able to complete a special PATA Passport during the course of the evening with a chance to win a range of prizes.
Taste of PATA takes place at Borough Market in London from 6.00 to 9.00 pm on Wednesday September 14. You can register now at www.pata.org.uk/events
