Lonely Planet website gets flight search
Travel search engine Global Travel Market is to power flight search functionality in the UK for guide book publisher Lonely Planet’s website, www.lonelyplanet.com
Users will be able to search for flights across multiple airline and online travel agent websites. The search functionality will be included in the “Travel Services” section of the Lonely Planet website
Lonely Planet travel service manager Mike McDermott said: “As part of our commitment to delivering enhanced services to our travellers, we selected Global Travel Market for their unique ability to fully customise a flight search engine to Lonely Planet’s business requirements and their extensive travel partnerships with leading travel companies in the UK.”
Lonely Planet Travel Services claims to be a one-stop shop for all travellers trip planning needs. Lonely Planet selects travel companies to partner with that are suited to handle the needs of independent travellers.
