Low cost airlines reveal July passenger numbers up
UK low cost airlines have reported increased passenger numbers for July.
EasyJet revealed passenger numbers are up 7.7% in July, year on year to 6.4 million, compared to 6 million in July 2013.
Load factors have also increased from 91.6% in July last year to 92.9% last month.
Ryanair has reported a 4% increase in passengers since the same time last year with 8.84 million in July 2013 and 9.15 million.
Load factors were up 3% from 88% to 91% last month.
Ryanair’s chief marketing officer, Kenny Jacobs said the increases were down to the airline’s ‘improving customer service’, ‘allocated seating’ and ‘great new website’.
