Lowcostbeds.com captures Hertz sales chief
Lowcostbeds.com has headhunted John Briggs from Hertz as sales director.
Briggs was formerly at the First Choice group before becoming leisure sales director at Hertz Europe.
At the online dynamic tour operator, he will be responsible for driving business through the travel trade.
Chief execitive Paul Evans, former managing director of First Choice Holidays, said: “The travel agent business is vital to our future success, with many independent businesses using our dedicated buying skills to develop their own programmes via our xml.
“John and his team will be working with all aspects of the travel trade to ensure that lowcostbeds.com is at the forefront of this growth channel.
“John brings us a wealth of valuable experience and has the necessary commercial, sales and interpersonal skills to grow our business quickly to over 100,000 passengers a year.”
