Lufthansa appoints UK general manager
Christian Schindler has been appointed as Lufthansa’s general manager for the UK & Ireland, replacing Marianne Sammann following her transfer to Munich.
Schindler, who is based at Heathrow, has been with Lufthansa for just over 20 years and moves from his previous position as general manager of Lufthansa Korea.
"I am taking over at an exciting time, with Lufthansa having recently started new services from Aberdeen and London Gatwick as well as announcing new daily services to Berlin from Manchester and Birmingham," he said.
"In the current economic climate, this expansion demonstrates Lufthansa’s commitment to continue to enhance the offering to our passengers across the UK and Ireland."
