Luxury hotel group accepting crypto payments
The Kessler Collection is the first luxury hotel group to directly accept payments in digital currencies. It partnered with BitPay yo allow payment in bitcoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum and stablecoins at its eight corporate-owned hotels.
BitPay handles the payment processing for the hotel group. Travel suppliers have been able to accept cryptocurrencies for years via forward-looking travel platform like CheapAir. Kessler Collection hotels include Beaver Creek Lodge in Colorado; Grand Bohemian Hotel Asheville and JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District in Savannah.
"I believe cryptocurrency is only going to gain acceptance. It allows us to offer more choices in the payment process," says Chairman and CEO Richard Kessler.
