Ryder Cup fever heats up at Celtic Manor gets ready to tee off

As luxury golf membership provides access to Ryder Cup 2010 golf on the new Twenty Ten Course, stage for the 2010 Ryder Cup, the Celtic Manor Resort has reported that a third of the places are already sold two years before the event touches down at the luxury resort in South Wales.

The only course in history to be purpose built for The Ryder Cup, membership not only grants playing rights on the course it also guarantees a place at The Ryder Cup event in 2010 with members receiving one season ticket and the opportunity to purchase another one.

Completing a £16 million investment in the new facilities, The Twenty Ten Clubhouse offers a private members’ lounge that features exposed wooden beams, high-backed leather chairs and an open fire. The laid-back elegance of the traditional gentlemen’s club is further evoked by expansive, oak-panelled locker rooms with their own lounge area from where it is possible to order a drink from The Spike Bar.

Located two hours from London, the 400-bedroom Resort is nestled in 1,400 acres of parkland in the Usk Valley. Celtic Manor boasts seven unique dining venues ranging from the informal atmosphere of The Lodge Brasserie and The Olive Tree to the newly opened gourmet restaurant, The Crown at Celtic Manor.
