Luxury operator Scott Dunn on acquisition trail
Upmarket tour operator Scott Dunn is looking to buy other established travel companies to boost its growth in the luxury leisure sector.
The firm, run by founder Andrew Dunn, has appointed corporate finance company Cavendish with a view to making acquisitions or bringing in new investors. A sale of the business is also understood to be a possibility, but a Scott Dunn spokesman said the company was ‘not really looking to sell for some time, if at all’.
He added: "I would say they are more focused on acquisitions which help to boost their growth in the luxury leisure sector."
The company, which originally sold ski holidays but later expanded into luxury sunshine holidays, bought a majority stake in long-haul specialist Imagine Travel a year ago.
