A Seattle real estate company has teamed up with a local tour operator for a new niche tourism venture targeting high net worth Chinese property buyers.
Dubbed the Fly & Buy program, Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty is taking the typical overseas real estate inspection trip idea to the next level by adding an all-inclusive package with five-star hotel accommodation, tours and high-end shopping.
Tour packages are being organized by small group tour operator Experi Travel and will initially focus on the West coast cities of Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
The eight-day long luxury travel programs begin next month.
Luxury five-star accommodations will be provided by Fairmont Hotels and flights offered by Hainan Airlines to and from China and Alaska Airlines within the US.
"Specialized travel is already established with medical tourism, cosmetic tourism, eco-tourism and university tours, so why not real estate tourism?" said Dean Jones, CEO of Realogics Sotheby’s.
"We know this demand already exists. We are excited to partner with leaders in the private travel industry while delivering the program in Mandarin with the appropriate cultural considerations and conveniences."
Aside from viewing pre-selected properties, high-end shopping trips, fine dining and entry to exclusive events will be included.
"Experi has always provided our guests with meaningful and exclusive shared travel experiences, and now with Sotheby’s International Realty’s incredible properties, we offer a once-in-a-lifetime trip for many to see what makes living in these top-tier West Coast cities so special," said Rob Rector, president of Experi Travel.
