Luxury specialist hopes high street agents can help with ‘overflow’
Luxury specialist agency Holidaysplease is looking to use high street travel agents as overflow centres to help cope with enquiries.
Its new management team, who completed a buy-out this week, said this could be through joint ventures or through acquisitions.
"We have recently updated the website and are swamped by enquiries and we need agencies to help out," said Charles Duncombe.
"We are looking to use high street agencies as overflow centres for us as I know that the high street can be feast, where you have a queue of 10 people wanting to get served, or famine, with tumbleweed spinning across the floor. We might be able to help fill the tumbleweed periods."
He said the company would even offer agents the chance to work from its office at a much lower cost than a high street rent.
Duncombe is now a part owner of Holidaysplease, alongside Richard Dixon and Sonia Dixon.
The three took ownership after buying out the stake of former co-owner Bobbie Bhogal.
The trio have also sold all their shares in parent group Just Say Please Ltd, although Holidaysplease will continue to share offices with the company, which also runs Tightsplease.co.uk and Lingerieplease.co.uk.
Founded in 2002, Holidaysplease is part of the Hays Travel consortium.
