Maggie White to leave Tourism Australia
Tourism Australia is losing one of its longest serving executives, Maggie White, who will bring down the curtain on her role as regional general manager for South and Southeast Asia and The Gulf at the end of the year to move back to Melbourne to be closer to her family.
White has worked for Tourism Australia and the Australian Tourist Commission for 23 years.
She was responsible for implementing Australian Tourist Commission’s Olympic Games Strategy, which the International Olympic Committee (IOC) declared a role model for future host countries.
"I have enjoyed my time in the region, made great friends and have very fond memories, but I would like to return to Australia after being away for more than a decade," she said.
Recruitment for a replacement will commence shortly.
