Major restructure at hotels4U.com
Trade-only online accommodation provider hotels4U.com has added senior personnel from lastminute.com as part of as new management structure.
Overall staff numbers have trebled to 54 in the past six months, including a new finance director, head of product and head of commercial.
Senior middle management has been strengthened with the creation of seven separate departments: sales & marketing, finance, operations, customer relations, product, commercial and administration.
Jacky Bedlow, formerly of lastminute.com, joins as finance and operations director, supported by Stuart Hawke and Judith Parson, who also come from lastminute.com. Steve Fielding is new head of commercial, while Steven Moore, from Somewhere2stay, leads the product team. Karen Wheeler takes on the role of UK operations and administration manager.
A third new contractor has been added. Radu Cristescu will focuss on the Eastern Mediterranean area. His appointment follows Miguel Burnay, who has boosted the company’s portfolio within Spain and its islands since his arrival in January
Sales and marketing director John Harding said: “The last year has been a period of sustained growth for hotels4U.com, and the restructure means that we are in a strong position to continue to build on this success.”
