Majority respond to E-Travel Alliance
Almost two thirds of attendees signed up to become the first members of the E-Travel Alliance at GENESIS’S first orientation in Toronto. Said GENESIS President Bruce Bishins: “We have proven our business case is sound and an attractive option for agencies seeking new and exciting GDS and travel selling functionality.” The next orientation meeting in Canada is set for the 20-21 March at the Radisson President Hotel and Suites, Vancouver Airport, and in the US 6 March at the Logan Airport Hilton in Boston. The Toronto session included presentations by GENESIS staff, Worldspan, TravelSoft, ADAPSYS, TravCom, E-Travel Advisories, and Web Canada. GENESIS centers around a travel agency-owned and initiated, point-of-sale system incorporating reservations, ticketing, supplier settlement, and agency accreditation.
